Many people hear about Burning Man gift culture before they ever experience it themselves.
Some assume that it is some kind of barter system for all the things you need—Nope, that is just commodification in drag
Others assume it is like Christmas and they will bring Tsotchkes to hand out— Closer but it still misses the larger picture of what is possible here. Plus who needs more doodads in their world.
