Description: The Steam Bath is owned and maintained by our sister camp Camp Contact. We assist with attending to the coming and going of participants. It is important that the attendants be respectful and off to the side as attendees undress to enter. The only time you need to interject is if attendees have not read the sign that clearly states "nothing allowed inside the steam bath: no clothes, towels, heigine products, or loose jewlry or hair ties". This is because all water and other, drains into a bladder basin below and must be later suctioned to a gray water tank to be hauled away. Anything that falls through the wood slats and into the basin, becomes an obstruction to this process. There are, provided by the Camp Contact some water spritzers and diluted Dr Bronners soap. These will be inside already. The water for the spritzers is brought by participants, not provided by the camp.
If you have not done this shift before please arrive 10min early to learn from the previous attendants. Sometimes the heater needs watching and may require a bit more learning before they leave.
